Disconnect lever 4 (see fig. 139) from the rod 7, and then the bracket 5 from the body and the bracket for fastening the pipelines going to the pressure regulator. The muffler suspension parts are disconnected from the body and the pipeline with mufflers is taken to the side.
Unscrew the bolts securing the regulator to the bracket and the bracket to the body, remove the regulator mounting bracket, and then, lowering the regulator down, disconnect the drive lever from it. Plug the pressure regulator openings and pipelines.
The installation of the pressure regulator is carried out in the reverse order with the rear axle of the car hung out. Before tightening the pressure regulator mounting bolts, fixture 67.7820.9518 is installed at the end of the drive lever (2, fig. 141). The rod of the device is directed upwards until it stops in the body. This sets the distance (140±5) mm between the end of the lever 1 and the side member of the body.
Raise the protective cap 1 (see fig. 139) and, turning the pressure regulator on the mounting bolts, make sure that the end of the lever is in light contact with the regulator piston.
Holding the regulator in this position, tighten the bolts of its fastening to failure, then cover the axle 2 and the protruding part of the piston with a layer of grease DT-1. Protective cap 1 is installed in place, putting 5-6 g of the same lubricant into it.
Remove fixture 67.7820.9518 and connect the end of the lever with the rod 7, having previously lubricated with DG-1 bushings 6 of the swivel of the rod with the lever. Attach the pipelines of the exhaust system to the body. Bleed the brakes to remove air from the rear brake drive.
