Removing the trunk lid

The trunk lid is hung on the body on two front hinges 3 and is locked with a lock 1. In the open position, the lid is held by torsion bars 4.
1. To remove the trunk lid, it is enough to open and unscrew the nuts 2 of its fastening to the hinges 3.
2. When installing the cover, it is necessary to adjust its position so that it is located with the same gaps in the body opening. For adjustment, enlarged holes are provided in the hinges of the cover.

The trunk lid should lock and unlock easily, without effort. Otherwise, adjustment of the relative position of the lock and its latch is required. For adjustment, enlarged holes are provided in the cases 5 of the lock and latch 1.
Adjustment carry out at an open cover of a luggage carrier in a following order.
Adjustment
1. Outline the contours of the lock body and latch and loosen the nuts and bolts of the fastening.
2. Move the lock and latch to a new position.
3. Lightly tighten the bolts and nuts, check operation and finally secure the lock and retainer.
4. Adjust the trunk lid opening force by rearranging the ends of the torsion bars 4 (see fig. Removing the trunk lid).
