Checking the engine on a car

1. Install the engine on the car, carefully check the installation.

2. Let the engine run for a while, then check:

• is there any leakage of coolant and fuel in the pipe connections, tighten the connections if necessary;
• Is there any oil leakage?
• whether the carburetor drive linkage ensures complete closing and opening of the dampers, adjust the drive if necessary;
• whether the alternator belt is sufficiently tensioned, adjust if necessary;
• are the contacts of the drives of electrical equipment reliable;
• Are the warning lights on the instrument panel working properly?
