Removal and installation of cardan transmission

Place the vehicle on a lift or inspection ditch. Chock the front wheels, release the parking brake, and place the shift lever in neutral. Raise the rear axle so that the rear wheels can turn freely.

1. Remove the safety bracket.

2. Install clamp A.70025 on the flexible coupling (see fig. Elastic coupling connecting the cardan shaft with the gearbox) and, turning the shaft, unscrew the nuts of the bolts of the flexible coupling flange; remove the bolts and then the clamp.

3. Disconnect the rear propeller shaft from the final drive gear flange.

4. Disconnect the rear parking brake cable guide return spring.

5. Detach the intermediate support cross member from the floor of the body and remove the driveline towards the front of the vehicle.

6. Install the driveline assembly to the vehicle in the reverse order of removal.
