Removing the inner ring of the bearing of the differential box with a universal puller А.40005/1/6

1. Fix the reducer on the stand. Remove lock plates 9 (see fig. Rear axle reducer, assy), remove the bolts and remove the differential case bearing caps, adjusting nuts and roller bearing outer races. Before removing the bearing caps and outer rings, mark them so that they can be installed in their original places during assembly.
2. Remove the differential case from the gearbox housing together with the driven gear and inner bearing races.

3. Turn the gearbox housing over with the neck up and, holding the flange 3 of the drive gear with the stopper 1, unscrew the flange fastening nut with a wrench 2 (4 - bracket for fixing the gearbox on the stand).
4. Remove the flange and take out the pinion gear with adjusting ring, rear bearing inner race and spacer sleeve.
5. Remove the stuffing box, oil deflector and the inner ring of the front bearing from the gearbox housing.
6. Press out the outer races of the front and rear bearings using drift A.70198.
7. Remove the spacer sleeve from the drive gear and using the universal puller A.40005/1/7 and mandrel A.45008 (see fig. Removing the inner ring of the rear bearing of the drive gear with a universal puller А.40005/1/7) Remove the rear roller bearing inner race.
8. Remove the drive gear adjusting ring.
Differential disassembly
9. Remove inner rings 2 (see fig. Removing the inner ring of the bearing of the differential box with a universal puller А.40005/1/6) roller bearings of the differential box 3, using for this purpose the universal puller A.40005/1/6 and the stop A.45028.
10. Turn away nuts of fastening of a conducted gear wheel and knock out an axis of satellites from a box.
11. Rotate the axle gears and satellites so that the latter roll out into the differential windows, after which they can be removed.
12. Remove the axle gears with thrust washers.
