Rear brake hose — replacement

To perform the work, you will need an assistant, as well as a special key by 10 mm for brake pipes, a transparent vinyl tube of suitable diameter, a container for draining brake fluid, fresh brake fluid (see "Operating fluids").

Removing

1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").

2. Special key by 10 mm for brake pipes, unscrew the fitting of the pipe, holding it with a wrench by 17 mm hose tip.



3. To reduce the loss of brake fluid, put a protective cap on the end of the tube (from the brake cylinder bleeder).



4. Use pliers to remove the bracket that secures the hose.



5. Key by 15 mm unscrew the hose tip from the tee and remove the hose.

Installation

1. Installing the rear brake hose is done in reverse order.

2. We pump the rear circuit of the brake mechanisms (see "Hydraulic brakes - pumping and replacing brake fluid").
