Removing the upper longitudinal jet rod
1. socket wrench at 19 mm unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the rod to the rear axle bracket, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same size.
2. Remove the spring washer and remove the bolt, using a soft metal drift if necessary, so as not to damage the thread.
3. socket wrench at 19 mm unscrew the self-locking nut of the bolt securing the rod to the side member of the body.
4. Remove the washer, remove the bolt with the washer (using a punch if necessary) and remove the upper longitudinal jet rod from the car.
Installation
Installation of the upper rod is carried out in the reverse order. Self-locking nuts are recommended to be replaced with new ones.
Removing the lower longitudinal torque rod
1. To access the head of the bolt that secures the rod to the bridge, disconnect the lower end of the shock absorber from the bracket of the rear axle beam (see below, "Rear suspension shock absorber - replacement") and take it aside.
2. Key by 19 mm unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the rod to the rear axle bracket, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same size.
3. Remove the spring washer and remove the bolt, using a punch if necessary.
4. Similarly keyed by 19 mm unscrew the self-locking nut of the bolt securing the rod to the body bracket.
5. After removing the spring washer and removing the bolt, remove the lower longitudinal jet rod from the car.
Installation
Installation of the lower rod and shock absorber is carried out in reverse order. Self-locking nuts are recommended to be replaced with new ones.
Attention! The left and right bars are not interchangeable. When installing, orient the bar so that the parking brake cable holder points up and is closer to the rear axle. In this case, the cable must pass from the inside of the holder.
Removing the cross bar
1. Key by 19 mm unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the rod to the rear axle bracket, holding the bolt from turning with a wrench of the same size.
2. Remove the spring washer and remove the bolt, using a punch if necessary.
3. Key by 19 mm unscrew the nut of the bolt securing the rod to the body.
4. After removing the spring washer and removing the bolt, remove the transverse rod.
Installation
Installation of the transverse rod is carried out in reverse order. Self-locking nuts are recommended to be replaced with new ones.
