1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. We clean the filter cover from dirt.
3. Key by 10 mm unscrew the three nuts securing the cover to the filter housing and remove it.
3. We take out the filter element and visually check its condition.
Attention! Operation with a heavily contaminated filter element results in a loss of engine power.
4. We close the carburetor diffusers with a clean rag and carefully clean the inner surface of the filter housing from dust.
Attention! The oiliness of the inner surface of the filter element and the inner surfaces of the housing indicates violations in the operation of the crankcase ventilation system and (or) severe wear of cylinders and piston rings.
5. Install a new filter element.
Note If there is a paper packing tape on the filter element, remove it.
6. We put the filter cover in place and carefully, evenly tighten the nuts of its fastening.
7. Check the position of the thermostat damper (see above).
