Removing
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. socket wrench on 10 mm with an extension, unscrew the two nuts securing the chain tensioner to the cylinder head and remove it.
Attention! A sealing gasket is installed between the tensioner and the cylinder head - do not damage it.
3. We clamp the tensioner in a vice and with a key at 13 mm unscrew the cap nut. We check the serviceability of the collet lock. If the lock cracker breaks, we change the cap or tensioner assembly.
Installation
1. Before installing the tensioner "we charge" his. To do this, we sink the plunger into the tensioner body until it stops and, holding it in this position, tighten the cap nut.
2. Install the tensioner in the cylinder head.
3. Turning the crankshaft clockwise, tighten the chain and loosen the cap nut, thereby "having discharged" tensioner. Tighten the nut again.
