Removing
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. On a car with a carburetor engine, a socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the clamp nut, holding the bolt from turning with a key of the same size, and move the clamp towards the additional muffler.
3. We apply a penetrating lubricant with a rust converter to the junction of the exhaust pipe and the additional silencer and give the connection "get wet".
4. By striking with a hammer through a wooden block on the end of the front additional muffler, we shift it from the front pipe.
5. On cars with a fuel injection system, remove the additional mudguard (see "Mudguard - removal and installation") and an oxygen concentration sensor (see "Oxygen concentration sensor - check and replacement").
ring wrench at 13 mm unscrew the two bolts securing the exhaust pipe flange to the converter flange and disconnect them.
A metal-graphite sealing ring is installed in the connection of the converter and the intake pipe.
6. socket wrench at 13 mm unscrew the bolt securing the front pipe clamp to the bracket on the gearbox.
7. With a slotted screwdriver, we bend the edges of the two locking plates of the nuts securing the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold.
8. socket wrench at 13 mm unscrew the four nuts, remove the locking plates and the exhaust pipe flange from the manifold studs.
9. Remove the sealing gasket from the studs.
10. Turning the exhaust pipe, bring it down in the space between the clutch housing and the middle tie rod.
Installation
1. We apply graphite grease to the junction of the exhaust pipe with an additional silencer and threaded connections.
2. We replace the sealing gasket with a new one.
3. On cars with an injection system, we replace the metal-graphite sealing ring.
4. Installation of a reception pipe is carried out in the reverse order.
Attention! Do not forget about the need to lock the nuts securing the pipe to the manifold.
