2. We remove dirt from the outer surfaces of the driveline parts.
3. We check the tightening of all available connections of the driveline parts and tighten the loose connections.
4. Using a large screwdriver to shake the universal joint yokes relative to each other, we check the absence of play in the bearings. If play is detected, the cross with bearings must be replaced.
5. Holding the front propeller shaft from rotation and shaking the elastic coupling, we check the absence of angular play in the spline connection.
6. We inspect the elastic coupling and the intermediate support of the front propeller shaft. In case of exfoliation of rubber from metal, cracks and ruptures of the coupling and (or) the intermediate support must be replaced.
7. The spline joint of the cardan shaft needs to be lubricated regularly (see "Periodic maintenance"). For this key by 11 mm unscrew the plug and install a grease fitting instead.
8. Use a syringe to inject lubricant through a grease fitting (Fiol-2U, SHRUS-4 or similar) into the spline connection until it exits from under the flange gland.
9. We turn out the grease fitting and install the plug in place.
