On VAZ-2105 and VAZ-2104 cars, two sound signals are installed: one (S-304) low tone and more (S-305) high. These are noise-type signals that produce sound over a relatively wide range of frequencies.
The scheme for turning off sound signals is shown in fig. 246. The signals are turned on without the use of an auxiliary relay in the mounting block and in place of the relay a jumper 3 is placed between the contacts «85» and «87».
If the signal strength decreases and wheezing appears, adjust the signal by turning the screw on its body in one direction or another, until a loud and clear sound is obtained. If the adjustment does not eliminate wheezing or the signal is intermittent, then disassemble the signal and clean the breaker contacts. When assembling the signal, install the old gasket between the membrane and the signal housing so as not to disturb the gap between the core and the armature. This gap for signals S-304 and S-305 is (0,4±0,05) mm.
If the signal does not turn on, then check the reliability of the wire connection, the condition of the switch contacts in the mounting block. Clean contacts if necessary.
