- Maximum output current at 13 V and rotor speed 5000 min-1, A - 45 (55*)
- Limits of regulated voltage, V — 14.1±0.5
* For generator 37.3701.
When operating, maintaining and repairing the generator, the following rules must be observed, the violation of which can lead to damage to the voltage regulator or rectifier diodes:
- conclusion «—» battery must always be connected to the housing, «+» - connect to terminal 30 (8 in fig. 226) generator. An erroneous reverse connection of the battery will immediately cause an increased current through the valves of the rectifier unit of the generator and their failure to work;
- it is not allowed to operate the generator with disconnected from the clamp «30» rechargeable battery. This will cause transient overvoltages on the terminal «30» alternator, which can damage the voltage regulator and electronic devices in the vehicle's on-board network;
- it is forbidden to check the operability of the generator «for a spark» even short-term clamp connection «30» housing generator. In this case, a significant current flows through the valves, and they break through. You can only check the generator with an ammeter and a voltmeter;
- it is not allowed to check the generator valves with a voltage of more than 12 V or with a megohmmeter, since it has too high voltage for the valves, and they will be broken during the test (a short circuit will occur);
- it is necessary to check the insulation resistance of the generator stator winding with increased voltage only at the stand and always with the outputs of the phase windings disconnected from the valves;
- it is forbidden to check the car's electrical wiring with a megger or a lamp powered by a voltage of more than 12 V. If such a check is necessary, first disconnect the wires from all terminals of the generator and the battery.
