The design of the brakes provides effective braking. However, try to brake smoothly and moderately at all times, avoiding sudden braking.
Do not turn off the ignition and do not put the key in the "Parking" when the vehicle is moving. When the engine stops, the vacuum brake booster is turned off and the force that must be applied to the brake pedal to brake the car increases. In addition, when the key is turned to the position "Parking" the steering shaft may be blocked by an anti-theft device and the car will become uncontrollable.
In the event of failure of one of the circuits of the brake system, the braking of the car is provided by the second circuit. At the same time, the brake pedal stroke increases and the braking efficiency decreases, which at the first moment can be assessed by you as a complete brake failure. In this case, do not release the pedal and do not press repeatedly, which only increase the time and distance of braking, but press the pedal until the maximum possible braking effect is obtained.
When stopping on an uphill or downhill, apply the parking brake and, accordingly, the first or reverse gears.
To prevent brake pads from freezing to the drums after driving on wet roads with sudden temperature fluctuations, do not leave the car in an open area with the parking brake applied without drying the brakes by gently braking when driving to the parking lot.
