At the same time, cover the axle shaft bearing oil seal with Litol-24 grease before installation, and the threads of the gear mounting bolts with sealant, having previously degreased them and the threaded holes in the rear axle beam. When installing the axle shaft seal in the beam flange, use mandrel A.70157, the punch of which has an outer diameter of 44 mm, and the seat belt for the seal is 29.4 mm. Lubricate with graphite grease or Litol-24 grease the landing belt of the axle shaft flange under the brake drum and the surface of the axle shaft flange in contact with the drum in order to facilitate the removal of the drum during subsequent disassembly. Install the brake drum after installing the rear axle on the vehicle and attaching the cable ends to the parking brake levers.
