1. If the parking brake does not hold the vehicle on a slope of 25% or is activated when the lever is moved more than 5-7 (4–8) ratchet teeth, raise the lever by 1-2 sector teeth (this operation is performed only for the gear sector "old" designs).
2. Loosen locknut 26 (see fig.Brake system diagram) tensioning device and, turning the adjusting nut 27, tighten the cable so that the full stroke of the lever is 4–5 (2–4) teeth along the sector and tighten the locknut.
Attention! If the cables have been replaced with new ones, brake the brake lever two or three times by applying a force of approximately 392 N to the parking brake lever (40 kgf). In this case, the cables will be pulled out.
3. After several brakings, make sure that the lever travel has not changed and the car does not slow down.
