Front bumper — removal and installation

We remove the bumper to replace its parts or perform body repairs on the front of the car. We show the removal work using the model 2106 bumper as an example. The model 2105 bumper is removed in the same way.

Removing

1. We prepare the car for work (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").

2. Turn the steering wheel all the way in the direction where the work is being done.

3. Wheel well socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the two bolts securing the bumper bracket to the body. We take out the bolts.



4. We carry out similar work on the other side of the car.

5. Bringing the brackets out of the holes in the body, remove the bumper with rubber seals.



6. Remove the seals from the bumper brackets.




7. To disassemble the bumper with a socket wrench by 10 mm unscrew the nut securing the side trim of the bumper, holding the screw from turning with a Phillips screwdriver. Take off the side cover.



8. socket wrench by 13 mm unscrew the nut securing the bracket and disconnect it from the bumper.



9. Remove the rubber buffer.




10. We carry out similar work on the opposite side of the bumper.

Installation

Assembly and installation of the bumper is carried out in the reverse order.
