Steering shaft covers — removal and installation

We remove the casings to replace the steering column switches, the ignition switch and the steering column.

Removing

1. We prepare the car for work (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").

2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws connecting the casings and the self-tapping screw A their attachment to the steering column switch.



3. Remove the bottom cover.



4. Remove the sealing ring from the top casing and the ignition switch.



5. Remove the upper casing of the steering shaft from the bracket.

Installation

The covers are installed in the reverse order.
