Removing
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal (see "Battery - removal and installation").
3. Remove the protective covers of the steering shaft (see "Steering shaft casings - removal and installation").
4. Remove the steering wheel from the shaft (see "Steering wheel - removal and installation").
5. socket wrench by 8 mm loosen the clamp bolt.
6. Remove the instrument panel (see below, "Instrument panel - removal and installation").
7. Disconnect the three pads of the switch wiring harness from the pads of the instrument panel wiring harness.
8. Remove the switch from the tube of the steering shaft bracket, removing the wiring harnesses from the bottom of the dashboard.
Installation
Note: To check before installing a new switch, connect the pads of its wires to the pads of the instrument panel harness. After connecting the battery and turning on the ignition, we check the health of the switch by moving its levers to different positions (see "Paddle switches"). Turn off the ignition and disconnect the wire from the negative battery terminal.
1. Install the switch on the steering shaft bracket tube.
2. Before finally fixing the circuit breaker on the bracket pipe, we determine its position using protective covers as templates. In this case, the switch levers in various positions should not touch the casings. While holding the switch in this position, tighten the clamp bolt.
3. We cover with grease the pressure contact of the sound signal.
4. Installation of the remaining removed parts is carried out in reverse order.
