Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws...
...and remove the windshield pillar trim.
Similarly, remove the lining of the second rack.
Removing the ceiling lining (see Ceiling lining replacement).
We start work from one of the upper corners of the glass.
With a slotted screwdriver, we rest against the inner edge of the glass seal and fill it with a flanging. We fix the seal by inserting a screwdriver into the gap, but not deep so that the glass does not crack. With the second screwdriver, we continue to fill the sealant for the roof flanging.
At first «we pass» the top of the glass, and then the two side ones. At the same time, we squeeze the glass out of the opening from both sides...
...and take it off.
We remove the edging and the seal from the glass.
In order not to scratch the new glass, we spread a soft cloth on the hood or table. We put glass on it.
We straighten and put a sealant on the glass, starting from the corners, and then around the entire perimeter.
We turn the glass over and with movements from side to side we fill the edging into the seal.
We close the edging joint with a lock.
We turn the glass over again and thread a cord 4-6 mm thick and a little longer than the perimeter of the glass into the cut of the seal. We overlap the ends of the cord in the middle of the lower edge of the glass.
We apply glass and center it in the opening of the body.
One person outside gently presses on the lower part of the glass, and the second - in the cabin - begins to pull the cord out of the seal, first at one end, and then at the second. By pressing the seal with your fingers, we plant it deeper on the flanging. Thus «we pass» the entire bottom of the glass.
Slight strokes with the palm of the hand on the upper edge of the glass in the direction from top to bottom «upset» glass.
We stretch the cord along the sides of the glass.
We fill the upper edge of the seal by pulling the rope in the direction from the edges to the middle and by hand «helping» seal to sit deeper on the flanging.
Install the ceiling lining and roof pillars in the reverse order of removal.
