Checking the technical condition of the rear suspension

We check the tightness of the fasteners of all parts of the rear suspension. Tighten loose connections.

Visually check the absence of damage to the springs, cracks and deformations in the longitudinal and transverse rods, the brackets of the rear axle beam and the body.

If cracking of the rubber or play of the elastic bushings of the hinges on the spacer bushings is detected, we replace the rods as an assembly with new ones or install new elastic bushings.

Shock absorber mounts should not have any backlash, and there should be no leakage of working fluid on their bodies. Rubber bushings for mounting shock absorbers must be free of damage and local bulging.

You can make sure that the shock absorber works without special equipment by vigorously rocking the car body down. The car should return to its original position without oscillating.
