Ignition coil - step-up transformer, converts low voltage pulsed current (12V) into a high voltage current.
The coil windings are installed in an aluminum case. Housing cover made of insulating material, has two low-voltage terminals and a socket for high-voltage wire. The coil body is filled with transformer oil, which cools the windings.
The ignition coil is installed in the engine compartment and is attached to the left mudguard of the body with two nuts.
