We measure the center-to-center distance between the rod ends, which should be equal to 80 mm.
If necessary, remove one of the tips from the lever by prying it with a screwdriver.
key «for 8» loosen the locknut and, by rotating the tip, adjust the length of the rod (in the photo the crankcase exhaust hose is removed).
After tightening the nut and setting the rod in place, ask the assistant to press the pedal «gas» all the way. If the throttle valve of the first chamber is not fully opened at the same time, the damper lever has an additional stroke.
We remove the tip of the longitudinal thrust from the intermediate lever.
After loosening the lock nut, we shorten the length of the rod, put it in place and again check the opening of the damper.
Then we release the pedal and check the position of the throttle, which should now be completely closed. If necessary, lengthen the traction.
Loosen the air damper cable (see Carburetor replacement). In the passenger compartment, we drown the air damper control knob until it stops.
By pressing the three-arm lever, we fully open the air damper..
.... and in this position we wrap the locking screw.
Pulling out the control handle, close the air damper. After that, we again drown it until it stops. If the damper is fully opened, finally tighten the locking screw. Repeat the adjustment if necessary.
