key «at 17» unscrew the filler plug and check the oil level with a finger or a hook. The oil level in the gearbox must reach the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
Before changing the oil, warm it up by driving the car for at least 10 km. We recommend that you plan ahead for an oil change after a long trip.
key «at 17» unscrew the crankcase oil drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container (at least 2 l). After draining the oil, clean the cork magnet and wrap it. If the drained oil is dark in color, and a lot of metal particles have stuck to the cork magnet, the box should be washed.
To do this, wrapping the drain plug, pour into the box (syringe or hose with a funnel) about 1 liter of a mixture of gear or engine oil with 20-30% kerosene or diesel fuel.
Having wrapped the filler plug, we hang out one rear wheel and, having started the engine, we turn on the 1st gear.
After 2–3 minutes, we stop the engine and, lowering the car, drain the flushing mixture. After cleaning the drain plug magnet again, we wrap it. Fill in 1.35 liters of fresh gear oil and wrap the filler plug. This operation can be combined with flushing the rear axle gearbox (see Change of oil).
