Removing
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. We mark the position of the lock relative to the body bracket.
3. With a slotted screwdriver, we remove two retainers of the lock rod shell from the holes in the body (The photo shows one clamp).
4. We straighten the bent end of the rod and move the fixing sleeve.
5. Disconnect the rod from the hood lock lever.
6. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two nuts securing the lock.
7. Remove the lock from the studs, removing the rod from its hole.
8. Inside the car (through the hole in the lock handle) pull the rod out of the shell with pliers.
9. In the engine compartment, under the left buffer of the hood, pry off the sealing sleeve of the shell and pull out the shell.
Installation
1. The installation of the lock and the drive rod is carried out in the reverse order according to the previously applied marks.
2. If necessary, adjust the position of the lock by loosening the nuts of its fastening.
