Removing
1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the master brake cylinder (see "Master brake cylinder - removal and installation").
3. We take out the non-return valve with a hose from the amplifier housing.
4. Use a round-nose pliers or a screwdriver to remove the retaining clip from the pin connecting the pusher to the brake pedal.
5. Having removed the pin, disconnect the pedal from the booster pusher.
6. Using a 13 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the four nuts securing the amplifier to the partition of the engine compartment.
7. Remove the amplifier with a gasket.
Installation
1. Before installing a new vacuum booster, it is recommended to check with a caliper the protrusion of the rod head relative to the plane on the housing. The value of A should be in the range of 1.05-1.25 mm.
2. If the protrusion does not correspond to the above, adjust it by turning the stem head with a 7 mm key. We hold the stem with pliers from turning.
3. Installation of the vacuum booster is carried out in the reverse order.
4. We pump the hydraulic brakes (see "Hydraulic brakes - pumping and replacing brake fluid").
