Ignition Relay, Alarm and Turn Signal Interrupter Relay — Replacement

The ignition relay R4, as well as the relay-interrupter for the alarm and direction indicators R5, are installed behind the instrument panel.

Execution sequence

1. We prepare the car for operations (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").

2. Remove the instrument panel (see "Instrument panel - removing and replacing lamps").

3. Using a 10 mm socket wrench with an extension, unscrew the nut securing both relays to the stud of the engine compartment partition.



4. Remove the ignition relay from the stud and disconnect the wire block.



5. Having removed two tips from the hairpin "massive" wires, similarly replace the alarm relay and direction indicators.

Installation

Install all removed parts in reverse order.
