The work is shown on a car with a carburetor engine. On a vehicle with an injection engine, operations 2 and 5 are not carried out.
Removing
1. Disconnect the pads of the impeller motor wires.
2. Disconnect the wire ends from the electric fan switch-on sensor (see "Sensor for turning on the electric fan - replacement").
3. socket wrench 8 mm (more comfortable with a deep head) we turn off two bolts of fastening of a casing to a radiator on the left side and one - on the right.
4. Raise the electric fan, while pulling out the sheath of the sensor wires from the two clamps located on the casing. On the injection engine, we unscrew the bolt securing the air supply sleeves to the bracket of the cylinder head cover (see "Cylinder head cover gasket - replacement") and, pushing the sleeves, raise the electric fan.
5. Squeezing the petals of the clamps of the sheath of the sensor wires with pliers, we push the clamps out of the casing.
6. Remove the electric fan.
7. To replace the fan motor with a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the nut that secures the impeller to the motor shaft, holding the impeller with your hand.
8. Remove the impeller from the shaft.
9. Squeezing the petals of the motor wire retainer with pliers, push the retainer out of the casing.
10. Using a 10 mm socket wrench, unscrew the three nuts securing the electric motor to the casing.
11. Remove the motor.
Installation
Assembly and installation of the electric fan are carried out in the reverse order.
