An assistant is required to complete the work.
Removing
1. We install the car on a viewing hole or overpass (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair").
2. Drain the oil from the rear axle (see "Rear axle - checking the level and changing the oil").
3. We hang out the back of the car (see "Vehicle preparation for maintenance and repair") and remove the rear wheels (see "Wheel - replacement").
4. Disconnect the cardan shaft from the flange of the main drive pinion shank (see "Cardan transmission - removal and installation").
5. We substitute a jack under the rear axle gearbox (rhombic or hydraulic), and raise the bridge a little.
6. Disconnect the pressure regulator drive rod from the bracket on the rear axle beam (see "Rear suspension spring - replacement").
7. Remove the hydraulic brake hose (see "Rear brake hose - replacement").
8. Disconnect the shock absorbers from the rear axle brackets (see "Rear suspension shock absorber - replacement").
9. Having lowered the rear axle on the jack, we release the springs and remove them together with the upper and lower insulating gaskets (see "Rear suspension spring - replacement").
10. Remove the parking brake rear cable guide from the front cable end and disconnect it from the cable. We derive the tips of the cable sheath from the holes in the body brackets. Remove the two brackets for attaching the rear cable to the body (see "Parking brake system - disassembly and assembly").
11. Disconnect the cross bar from the rear axle bracket (see "Rear suspension bars - replacement").
12. Having disconnected the upper and lower longitudinal bars from the rear axle brackets (see p. 152 "Rear suspension bars - replacement"), together we remove the bridge from the jack.
Installation
1. Install the rear axle in reverse order.
Attention! Before connecting the lower longitudinal torque rods to the rear axle brackets, position the rear parking brake cable above the rods.
2. Pour oil into the rear axle (see "Rear axle - checking the level and changing the oil").
3. We pump the hydraulic drive of the brakes of the rear wheels (see "Hydraulic brakes - pumping and replacing brake fluid") and adjust the parking brake (see "Parking brake - adjustment").
