Disconnect the negative cable from the battery. Unscrew the fastening screws and remove the steering shaft cover and the ignition lock cover. Remove the handles from the heater control levers, handle and scale 14 (see fig. 166) headlight hydrocorrector. Unscrew the screws and remove the trim 12 of the instrument panel console assembly with the cigarette lighter, instrument lighting switches, alarms, fog lights, rear window heating. Disconnect electrical wires. Unscrew the four mounting screws and remove the bracket for the heater and interior ventilation control levers. Remove the visor 13 of the instrument cluster by pulling it towards you by the upper part. If it is impossible to remove, the screws for fastening the fixing springs on the inner upper wall of the visor are unscrewed. Disconnect the electrical wires, cables and remove the instrument cluster assembly. Unscrew the nut and remove the headlight corrector. Unscrew the screws securing the carburetor air damper drive handle and securing the ignition switch. Remove the ignition switch assembly.
Remove five screws securing the instrument panel: four at the corners of the panel (the top two are capped) and one from the glove box. Remove the instrument panel. If necessary, remove air ducts and nozzles for heating and ventilation of the passenger compartment from the instrument panel.
The instrument panel is installed in the reverse order.
