Clamp the steering gear in a vice with soft sponges. Remove protective cap 14 (pic. 102) and, having unlocked the bolts 24 for fastening the inner tips to the rail, unscrew them and remove the tie rods 21, the locking 23 and the connecting 22 plates. Remove the clamps 19 for fastening the protective cover 20 of the steering gear rack, the right support, and then the rack cover 20 from the crankcase tube 3 of the steering gear.
Key 67.7812.9537 with octagonal head (17 mm) unscrew the stop nut 18 and remove the spring and retaining ring 17. Turning gear 5 clockwise (view from the side of the steering shaft), shift the stop 15 of the rail and then with special tongs with round jaws inserted into the recesses of the stop under the spring, remove the stop of the rail from the crankcase.
Remove the boot 12 from the gear and the lock washer 11, with the key 67.7812.9536 (24 mm) unscrew the nut 10. Clamping the drive gear shaft in a vice with soft jaws, lightly tapping the crankcase with a plastic hammer, remove the gear from the crankcase assembly with ball bearing 6. Remove washer 8, retaining ring 7 and press the ball bearing off the gear shaft. Take out the rack 13 of the steering mechanism in the direction of the removed protective cap 14, and then the support sleeve 2 of the rack.
