Remove the plug of the expansion tank and open the valve of the heater of the passenger compartment. Unscrew the mounting bolts and remove the engine mudguard. Unscrew two drain plugs (in the radiator and cylinder block) and drain fluid from the cooling system. At the end of the drain, the plugs are wrapped.
Fill the system with clean water. Water is poured into the expansion tank until the level is above the mark «MIN» 25-30 mm, and wrap the plug of the expansion tank. The engine is started, warmed up at an average crankshaft speed up to 90°C. At this temperature, water will circulate in small and large circles, and the radiator will also be washed. Stop the engine, drain the water, fill the system again with clean water and repeat the flush in the same order.
Stop the engine, drain the water and fill the system with coolant. Start the engine, let it idle for 1-2 minutes to remove air pockets. After the engine cools down, check the fluid level.
In the northern regions, where antifreeze is in a cold state for a long time, it ages more slowly. Therefore, after the end of the warranty period, the antifreeze must be drained and its quality checked. If there is no dirt and oil in the liquid and it has retained its blue color, it is necessary to check its density, if necessary, bring it to normal and use it for another 1 year. After a year of operation, the test is repeated.
