Carburetor — removal and installation

Removal and installation is carried out only on a cold engine. Remove the air filter cover and remove the filter element. Unscrew the nuts securing the air filter housing to the carburetor, remove the housing assembly with the thermostat and, loosening the clamp, disconnect the corrugated hose.

Disconnected from sector 1 (see fig. 15) throttle control cable and return spring (not shown in the figure), and also disconnect the rod and the shell of the air damper drive rod from the carburetor. Unscrew the fastening screw and remove the carburetor heating block.

Disconnect from the carburetor the electrical wires of the electromagnetic shut-off valve 9 and the limit switch of the forced idle economizer.

Unscrew the nuts securing the carburetor, remove it and close the inlet of the intake pipe with a plug.

Install the carburetor in reverse order. Before installation, make sure that the connection plane of the intake pipe with the carburetor is clean. After installation, adjust the carburetor control drive.
