Mechanical clutch release drive with spring booster (servomechanism). The clutch and brake pedals are suspended on a common axis to the bracket 11 (pic. 58). An amplifier lever 14 is welded to the clutch pedal 13, which is pivotally connected to the pusher 16. The end of the pusher is fixed with a bracket 15. A pre-compressed spring 17 is installed at the end of the pusher between the support washer and the support 18. The support 18 abuts against the socket of the bracket welded to the pedal bracket. The upper part of the pedal is connected to the earring 12 of the clutch cable. The lower tip 6 of the sheath 7 of the cable is clamped in the socket of the bracket 3 with two adjusting nuts 5 with washers 4. A leash 1 is attached to the lower end of the cable, which is connected with a finger to the lever 19 of the clutch fork. The lower end of the cable is closed with a cover 2. The upper tip 8 of the cable sheath 10 is located in a rubber buffer 9, which end rests against the socket of the front end of the body.
Pic. 58. Clutch drive
To reduce the noise level in the car, rubber parts are used in the clutch drive, which do not allow vibration of the parts. At the same time, they ensure the elasticity of the clutch drive. Therefore, by effort on the pedal, it is sometimes difficult to catch the end of its free play. As a result, the free play is checked on the lever 19 of the clutch fork.
Possible malfunctions of the clutch and its drive, their causes and methods of elimination are given in tab. 5.
