Removing the clutch and its drive

Remove gearbox first (see sect. «Transmission»). Then unscrew the bolts securing the clutch cover to the flywheel and remove the clutch cover assembly with the pressure plate. This releases the clutch disc.

To remove the clutch release drive, loosen the adjusting nuts 5 (see fig. 58) and remove the lower part of the cable from the socket of the bracket 3 for fastening the cable sheath. Then disconnect the leash 1 from the clutch release fork lever. Remove the cable earring 12 from the pedal. The cable assembly with buffer 9 is removed from the front end shield of the body.

To remove the clutch pedal, fix the spring 17 on the pusher 16 with a cotter pin or wire 2 mm in diameter, installing them in the pusher hole under the support 18. To find the hole in the desired position, turn the clutch pedal on the axle. Then the brake pedal retracting spring and the pedal axle are removed, having previously removed the bracket from the groove of the pedal axle. Remove the clutch pedal assembly with the spring booster.

If it is necessary to replace the clutch release fork, press out the outer sleeve 13 (see fig. 57) from the clutch housing, remove the fork 3, then install a new fork and press in the bushing, having previously put the SHRUS-4 lubricant into it.
