The rear doors of VAZ-2109, 21093 cars differ from the front ones in the dimensions and design of the outer and inner panels, as well as in the size of the door window openings.
The power windows have different dimensions and a slightly different design of the guide pipes, its brackets, the lower glass mounting plates, and a shorter cable length. Power windows are not interchangeable with front door power windows.
The rear door locks feature another locking lever for the inside door handle to ensure safety when transporting children in the rear seat. The end of the lever goes into the end of the door. It can only be accessed with the rear door open. To block the inside handle with this lever, before closing the door, move the lever down and close the door. In this case, the rear door can only be opened with the outside handle from the outside. When the lever is raised, the door can also be opened from the passenger compartment with the inside handle. The rear door lock release button has an additional linkage and release drive lever and works similarly to the front door lock release button.
