The wheels of the car are disc, with a deep one-piece rim, size 4½I-13. The front wheel hub rotates in the cavity of the steering knuckle (see fig. 69) on a double-row ball bearing 20 of closed type. The bearing is fixed in the fist with two retaining rings 16. The wheel hub is fitted with internal splines on the splines of the tip 18 of the constant velocity joint housing and fastened with a nut, under which a thrust washer is installed. A cap is pressed into the groove of the wheel hub. A brake disc is attached to the wheel hub with guide pins 19. In addition, the brake disc is additionally attached to the hub along with the wheel with four bolts. In this case, the pins center the wheel disk relative to the hub.
Hub 1 (rice. 74) the rear wheel also rotates in a double-row ball bearing on axle 20. The bearing is fixed in the hub with a retaining ring 27. Mounting hub 1 on axle 20 is similar to mounting the front wheel hub. The axle has a flange, which, together with the shield 26 of the brake mechanism, is attached to the flange 29 of the suspension arm with four bolts.
The wheel bearings are not adjusted or lubricated during the operation of the vehicle.
