Embedded diagnostic system

On cars VAZ-2108, VAZ-2109 and their modifications there is a built-in diagnostics system designed to monitor the technical condition of the car using a motor tester. This system includes a sensor 17 (see fig. 91) top dead center of the engine and block 26 diagnostics, which displays the following control points of the electrical system: «plus» battery terminal «30» generator, «weight» vehicle, ignition coil low voltage terminals and top dead center sensor.

Using a mounted high voltage sensor and a motor tester, the built-in diagnostics system allows service stations to determine the reduction in compression in the engine cylinders, the degree of charge and the condition of the battery, the health of the generator, starter and ignition system.
