The door opening limiter ensures maximum door opening and protects the outer door panel from damage against the body pillar. The door in the open position is held by rollers 42 for the punching of the rod 43. The flat rod 43 is hinged at one end with a pin to the bracket 44 of the rack, the second end has a pin 40 that limits the maximum opening of the door.
The lock of a forward door of rotor type, fastens with screws to a back end face of a door. When the door is closed, the ratchet 10 acts on the latch pin 23, the ratchet turns, and the pawl 9, under the action of the spring, locks the ratchet by the tooth of one or the other end of the ratchet. Ratchet teeth provide preliminary and full locking of the door. Pre-locking prevents spontaneous opening of the door in case of accidental incomplete closing. The ratchet 10 and the pawl 9 are mounted on the axes of the outer lock. The finger 8 of the drive of the outer lock with its front end enters the inner lock.
An outer door handle 14 with a spring-loaded key 19 and a lock switch 13 is attached to the outer door panel through a sealing gasket 21 with two nuts. The leashes 15 and 18 of the key and the lock switch are connected by rods to the lever 5 of the external drive and the intermediate lever 7 of turning off the lock. When you press the key 19 of the outer handle, its leash 15 presses on the rod 16 and the lever 6 of the external drive, which in turn acts on the finger of the intermediate lever 4. The intermediate lever 4 presses on the finger 8 of the lock drive, which retracts the pawl 9 and releases the ratchet 10. Under the pressure of the compressed seal, the door opens.
When pulling the inner handle 2 of the door, the rod of the inner drive turns the lever 26 of the inner drive, which presses the intermediate lever 4 with the second end and releases the ratchet 10 through the pin 8. The door opens.
To prevent access to the car interior from the outside, the lock is turned off, blocking the action of the outside handle. When you press the button 20 to turn off the lock, the push rod 24 of the button turns the two-arm lever 25, which acts on the lever 7 with the second end. The lever 7 takes the intermediate lever 4 to the side, eliminating the possibility of influencing the pawl 9, and consequently, releasing the ratchet of the lock.
Turning the lock off and on can be done with the off button or switch 13 of the lock. When the switch key is turned, the switch leash 18 acts directly on the lock release lever 7 through the release rod 17.
Locks of the front and rear doors of the VAZ-2109 car. The front door lock structurally differs only in the lengths of some rods.
The tailgate lock has an interior door handle lock (see rear door lock actuator diagram) to ensure the safety of transporting children in the back seat. The end of the lever 47 goes to the end of the door, access to it is possible only when the door is open. To lock the inside door handle, before closing the door, move the lever down and close the door. In this case, the rear door can only be opened with the outside handle from the outside.
Power windows
The power window of the front door is cable-operated, fastened on the inner panel of the door with nuts to the welded studs. The window regulator consists of a guide tube 62 with upper and lower brackets 63 and a window regulator mechanism. Cable 61 covers two rollers mounted on the axes of the guide tube brackets. In the housing 55, the cable is wound on the drum 51, the driven gear of which is engaged with the drive gear 54. The drum hub is installed in plastic bushings. inserted into the holes of the body 55 and the cover.
On the drive roller 52 there is a spring brake that prevents the glass from spontaneously lowering.
The lever 48 of the power window handle is placed on the splines of the drive shaft 52 and is fastened with the help of facing 49, which, when installed on the handle, enters the annular groove of the drive shaft. A plastic socket 50 is placed under the handle, pressed against the door upholstery.
The window regulator of the rear door of the VAZ-2109 car differs slightly in the design of the brackets and the guide tube.
The tailgate lock consists of a housing 29, in which there is a hook 27 with a spring, a button 28, locked with a key, and a button spring. The hook of the lock engages with the tooth of the latch 31, which is attached to the upper cross member of the tailgate. To prevent vibration of the tailgate, the lock has a special spike 30. which, when the door is closed, enters a conical socket in the upper part of the latch 31.
The hood lock with hook 33 is installed in the front of the hood, the lock drive is on the upper cross member of the front end. The lock is unlocked by handle 39, located in the passenger compartment on the left side under the instrument panel. Hook 33 with spring 34 prevent spontaneous opening of the hood. The hook engages with a tooth on the upper cross member of the front end of the body. To open the hood, the hood lock is unlocked with the handle 39 and, additionally, through the gap formed under the hood, the hook is moved to the side.
Cable lock drive. The handle 39 of the lock is connected by a rod 38 to the spring 32, which fixes the hood by the head of the pin 37 in the closed position. The pin is wrapped in the hood plate and locked with a lock nut 35.
In the open position, the hood is held by a metal stop.
