- backs of primary 8 (pic. 65) and secondary 6 shafts are extended to accommodate the leading 7 and driven 2 gears of the V transmission and its synchronizer;
- ball bearings of the primary and secondary shafts are fixed in the sockets of the gearbox with plate 1, which is fastened with four screws to the gearbox housing;
- the rear cover of the gearbox is made deeper.
Pic. 65. Rear of the five-speed gearbox:
1 - plate for sprinkling the bearing and output shaft; 2 - driven gear of the V transmission of the secondary shaft; 3 - sliding clutch of the synchronizer of the 5th gear; 4 - hub of the synchronizer clutch of the V transmission; 5 - thrust washer; 6 - secondary shaft; 7 - drive gear of the V transmission of the input shaft; 8 input shaft.
The drive gear 7 of the fifth gear is mounted on the splines of the input shaft with a nut, the driven gear 2 is mounted on the bushing of the output shaft on a needle bearing, and the hub 4 of the fifth gear synchronizer clutch is mounted on the splines of the secondary shaft 6. The bearing bushing, synchronizer hub and support washer are fixed on the shaft with a nut, which is locked in the same way as a four-speed gearbox.
In a five-speed gearbox, the gear ratios of the same name with a four-speed gearbox are the same: I gear - 3.63; II gear - 1.95; III gear - 1.357; IV gear - 0.94; V transmission - 0.784; reverse - 3.5.
