1 - latch spring; 2 - locknut; 3 - latch; 4 - safety hook; 5 - safety hook handle
Notes:
- Signs that the latch needs to be adjusted are a hard hit when closing the hood and a difficult opening.
- Signs that the latch needs to be adjusted in height are a lot of force when closing the hood or vertical play of the hood in the closed position.
1. Loosen the lock nut while holding the latch from turning with a screwdriver. To adjust the height of the latch, screw or unscrew it (see notes).
2. To adjust the position of the latch, move it in the desired direction. Tighten locknut after adjustment. Check the operation of the lock: if the hood does not close completely, repeat the adjustment.
