Location of the oil drain plug.
Interval: Change oil every 75,000 km or 5 years.
Gearbox capacity:
- five-speed - 3.3 l;
- four-stage - 3.0 l.
Type of gear oil recommended by the manufacturer:
- "REXOL T" (80W-85; GL-4);
- "OMSKOYL TRANS P" (80W-85; GL-4/5);
- "VOLNEZ TM4" (80W-90; GL-4).
We recommend draining the oil immediately after driving, while the gearbox is still warm.
Optimum oil level - upper mark on the index (dipstick) oil level. Do not fill the oil above the upper mark, as it may leak from the gearbox. The lower mark indicates the minimum allowable oil level. If the oil level drops below this mark, the gearbox will quickly fail.
It is recommended to change the oil on an inspection ditch, on a lift, or by lifting the car with a jack and placing it on supports.
1. Before changing the oil, remove the rubber cap, wash it and clean the hole in the breather with a wire. Then put the cap back in place.
2. Unscrew the oil drain plug, after substituting a container for the drained oil under the gearbox. Drain the oil and replace the oil drain plug.
3. Take out the pointer (probe) oil level.
4. Pour new oil through the hole under the pointer.
5. Wipe the pointer with a rag and reinstall.
6. Remove the dipstick again and check the oil level in the box. If necessary, add oil to the gearbox up to the upper mark.
7. On older gearboxes (without oil level indicator) The oil filler hole is located on the right side of the gearbox housing.
8. Unscrew the plug and pour oil into the gearbox with a syringe up to the lower edge of the oil filler hole.
