VAZ-21099 is a light front-wheel drive car with a transverse power unit, designed for operation on paved roads.

The body is all-metal load-bearing four-door, sedan type. The rear seat can be folded down for transporting large and long loads, thereby increasing the volume of the luggage compartment.

Engine - four-cylinder carburetor, with a displacement of 1.5 liters. Since 1993, some cars have been equipped with various fuel injection systems. Thanks to the front-wheel drive layout, the car has improved handling characteristics compared to rear-wheel drive VAZ models, especially on slippery roads and when cornering.

It can be equipped with hydrocorrector for headlights, front seats with electric heating, power windows, an on-board computer and a catalytic converter for exhaust gases in the exhaust system.
