Removal and installation of a back door

The description of the work is given with partial disassembly of the rear door. If necessary, the door can be removed after dismantling all its elements.

An assistant is required to complete the work.

Removing

1. Remove the trim from the rear door.

2. Remove the plastic film from the rear door.



3. Remove the wire terminal from the negative battery terminal.

4. Disconnect the block of wires of the central locking switch.



5. Disconnect the door opening limiter from the rack.

Warning.

To avoid deforming the tailgate, do not open it wide after the stopper has been released.

When performing the following work, the assistant must support the door.

6. Using a 13 mm socket wrench, unscrew the two door mounting bolts (one on each loop) and remove the door from the car.

Helpful advice. When replacing a door, install the new door on the vehicle prior to painting and assembly to ensure it does not require straightening.

Installation

We install the door on the car and all the parts removed earlier in the reverse order.
