Wheel replacement sequence
1. We install the car, if possible, on a flat horizontal platform. If there are passengers in the car, they should get out.
2. We take out the spare wheel and the necessary tool from the trunk.
3. We fix the car with a parking brake and install wheel chocks on both sides under the wheel located diagonally from the one being replaced.
4. Remove the decorative cap of the wheel disc (see point 2 "Tires - pressure check").
5. «Balloon» or with a 17 mm socket wrench, we loosen the tightening of all wheel bolts by about half a turn.
6. We install a jack under the threshold of the car. In this case, the lower support platform of the jack must be strictly under the upper stop. Places of installation of an emphasis of a jack are designated on a threshold of the car arrows.
Warning. If the vehicle is on loose ground, place a pad under the jack to increase the jack's support area (for example a board of a suitable size).
7. Slowly raise the car while checking that it does not move forward or backward. We lift until the replaced wheel of the car is at a distance of 5-6 cm from the supporting surface.
8. Finally unscrew the wheel bolts and remove the wheel.
9. Install the spare wheel on the hub. Holding the wheel, pre-bait the bolts of its fastening.
10. Holding the wheel from rotation, tighten the bolts of its fastening crosswise.
11. Slowly lower the car until the wheel touches the ground firmly (the wheel should not be fully loaded, but should not rotate when the bolts are finally tightened).
12. Finally tighten the wheel bolts in the same way to a torque of 65.2-92.6 Nm.
13. We lower the car on the wheels and fold the jack.
14. We put the removed wheel in the luggage compartment and securely fasten it.
15. Remove the wheel chocks.
16. Check the tire pressure and, if necessary, bring it to normal.
17. Install the decorative wheel cap.
