Checking the engine oil level

It is recommended to check the oil level 10-15 minutes after stopping the engine.

Work sequence

1. We prepare the car for work (see item 2a "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").

2. With the engine off, remove the oil level dipstick from the guide tube.



3. Wipe the dipstick with a rag, removing oil from it, and then insert it back into the tube until it stops.

4. We take out the probe; the level should be on the dipstick within the corrugated zone.



If the level is low, add oil to the engine. see also "Changing engine oil and oil filter".
