Warning. Before performing work, read the safety regulations for the maintenance and repair of the power system (see "Safety measures for the maintenance and repair of the power system").
The sequence of repair work
1. We prepare the car for work (see item 2a "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Raise the rear seat cushions.
3. We bend the edge of the carpet.
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws securing the hatch cover.
5. Remove the hatch cover.
6. Disconnect the wiring harness connector from the fuel pump fuel module.
7. Turning on the starter, turn the crankshaft for 10-15 seconds.
Note. If we start the engine at the same time, we wait until all the gasoline is exhausted from the fuel line and the engine stalls.
8. Turn off the ignition.
9. Connect the wiring harness connector to the fuel module.
10. Install the hatch cover in place and fasten it with two self-tapping screws.
11. Return the rear seat cushions to their original position.
Warning. After depressurizing, a small amount of gasoline remains in the fuel line.
