Removing
1. Remove the heater (see "Interior heater - removal and installation").
2. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the four screws securing the air filter grille of the cabin ventilation system, and remove the grille.
3. Disconnect the air supply hose that cools the fan motor. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three screws securing the fan motor flange to the heater housing.
4. We take out the electric fan from the heater case.
Warning! The fan motor rotor and fan impeller are factory balanced, so it is not recommended to remove the impeller from the shaft.
Recommendation. The fan impeller should rotate easily with a light push of the finger. You can check the health of the fan motor by applying 12 V voltage from the battery to the terminals of its pad. A defective electric fan must be replaced.
Installation
We install the electric fan and the heater itself in the reverse order.
