Removing
1. We prepare the car for work and disconnect the wire terminal from the negative terminal of the battery (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. On engines 2112, 21114 and 21124 remove engine trim (see "Decorative overlay of the engine - removal and installation").
3. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system (see "Coolant - replacement").
4. Remove the wiper (see "Windshield wiper - removal and installation") and disconnect the steam outlet hose from the heater radiator pipe.
5. Remove the right side of the engine compartment upholstery (see "Upholstery of the engine compartment - removal and installation").
6. Using side cutters, we cut the clamp for attaching the heater wiring harness.
7. Having pressed the latch, we disconnect the blocks of wires of the electric fan of the heater.
8. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the additional heater resistor.
9. Disconnect the wiring harness block (2) from the heater damper electric drive and block (1) from the damper position sensor.
Advice. If the heater radiator hoses "stuck" to the plastic pipes of the radiator, then, in order not to break them off when disconnecting the hoses, it is better to cut off the old hoses, and install new ones during assembly. The cost of hoses is much lower than the cost of a heater radiator.
10. Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the clamps of the two heater radiator hoses and remove the hoses from the radiator pipes.
11. Deep socket socket wrench by 10 mm Loosen the two nuts on the bottom of the heater.
12. socket wrench by 8 mm unscrew the screw of the upper heater mount.
13. socket wrench by 10 mm Loosen the nut on the right side of the heater.
14. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the two screws (2) and screw (1), tightening the heater housing and the air intake housing.
Warning! When performing the following operation, be careful, as there is always a small amount of coolant in the heater core. Avoid skin contact with liquid.
15. We push the heater housing forward and up and remove it from the car.
16. Remove the heater air intake housing.
Installation
1. Install the heater and all removed parts in reverse order.
2. Fill the engine cooling system with liquid (see "Coolant - replacement").
