1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the wiper arms (see "Windshield wiper - removal and installation").
3. Remove the internal rearview mirror (see "Internal rear-view mirror - removal and installation").
4. Using a Phillips screwdriver, unscrew the three self-tapping screws securing the lining of the left pillar of the body.
5. Remove the pad.
6. In one of the upper corners of the windshield, use a slotted screwdriver to fill the edge of the seal behind the edge of the body opening and a screwdriver (1) fix it in this position. Second slotted screwdriver (2), starting from the installation site of the first, we fill the glass seal behind the edge of the opening alternately in both directions. Thus, we transfer the sealant along the upper and side edges of the windshield to the flanging.
7. We take out the glass from the opening.
8. Remove the seal from the glass.
9. We clean the seal from dirt.
10. We lay clean cardboard, paper or some other material that does not scratch the glass on the hood of the car.
11. Lay new glass on it with the outer side down.
12. We put a sealant on the glass around the perimeter.
13. We fill the cord into the sealant.
14. In the middle of the bottom edge of the glass we make a small overlap (10-15 cm) ends of the cord.
Tip: To make glass better "sat down" into the opening, cover the slots of the seal or the body trim with soapy water or silicone grease.
15. We put glass with a sealant in the opening and center it. It should be exactly in the middle of the opening. We bring the ends of the cord into the salon.
16. The assistant from the outside presses the glass to the body in the places where the cord is pulled.
17. In the cabin, alternately pull the ends of the cord, dragging the edge of the glass seal through the flanging of the opening.
18. First, we translate the edge of the seal along the lower edge of the glass and with our hands, pressing on its upper edge, lower the glass down as much as possible. Then we pull the cord along the two sides, and lastly - on top of the glass in the direction from the edges to the center.
19. We install the lining of the racks, the rear-view mirror and the wiper arms.
